GEMCARE PRODUCTS (CLEANING) - JOHANNESBURG, GP

From my experience of over 20 years dealing with tradesmen and builders this guy is a very poor bathroom fitter. Firstly while fitting a bathroom for me he made a major error in calculation his measurement fitting the bath and this meant the moulded bath panel would not fit. He took a hammer to assemble push on taps which I had to replace. He applied the sealant to the travertine marble without cleaning the tiles first. As a bed for the tiles he used the thinnest gauge plywood he could and nailed it to the floor with the result that floor tiles cracked. All plumbing work including toilet leaked waste ruining ceilings. After promising to fix everything he feigned sickness. Despite assuring me that all the work would be carried out by qualified tradesmen he himself (a tiler) fitted unsuitable spotlights in a bathroom which shorted out nearly causing a fire in my attic so me and my familly were very very lucky. I won a court case against him but he refuses to make any attempt to pay me even though he is working away. In my opion it would be advisable to avoid this trader. I have had three other tiling jobs completed by competent traders since my experience with this trader so there are good guys out there. On a positive not he has a nice eye catching van.
